Saint Laurent Opens New Paris Flagship Store Designed by Hedi Slimane

Saint Laurent has opened a new flagship store in Paris, designed by creative director Hedi Slimane. As seen in the Slimane revamp of YSL adding his own aesthetic to the fashion house with his photography and controversial Spring 2013 and Fall 2013 collections, he’s applied the same design to the store. Art-deco inspired, marble is a motif seen throughout the store, in black and white, a signature that Hedi religiously follows, with his classic black and white photography. Located on Avenue Montaigne, Saint Laurent also plans to open a flagship in London on Sloane Street. The store is quite beautiful to behold. (Source: Dezeen via Slamxhype).

Here is footage of the newly renovated Maison Martin Margiela Montpensier Homme boutique in Paris. The video gives us a quick look around the boutique on 23, rue de Montpensier, with a new space, new design, and new collection in this new store dedicated to men. The store perfectly reflects Margiela’s aesthetic with its minimalism and simplicity, but also quite complex and abstract, a contradiction and contrast, something that Margiela balances rather nicely. Take the tour for yourself!
